NYC Gifted & Talented Need-Based Scholarship Program

“I just received [my child's] score for the 2014 G&T test and he received an overall score of 95, high enough to allow him entry into our district G&T programs. I want to thank you and the wonderful staff at Bright Kids for granting him the scholarship and for the consistent, knowledgeable, and fun instruction that has now offered him a wider net of possibilities. We are deeply grateful for the classes and for the patience of everyone there which made tutoring sessions each weekend a pleasure. We are filled with appreciation and also so glad we found Bright Kids. The scholarship was so generous and the impact is largely felt.” – 2013 G&T Scholarship Recipient

The goal of the NYC Gifted and Talented Scholarship program is to promote participation of those students who show great potential to succeed, but whose families do not have the financial means necessary to purchase tutoring services. By reducing the cost of our 10-session Gifted and Talented Bootcamp, Bright Kids hopes to provide scholarship recipients a chance at academic success regardless of their current socioeconomic status. Eligible children will be able to participate in our 10-session Gifted and Talented Bootcamp at a reduced cost. The 10-session Bootcamp includes an initial diagnostic, individualized one-on-one tutoring in our Downtown office, and preparation books for supplemental practice at home. Families must contribute at least $250 per child participating in our Scholarship Program. The scholarship awarded covers the cost of the 10-session Bootcamp package less the cost of the initial diagnostic ($250 per child). Any additional sessions not included in the scholarship award can be purchased at a discounted rate.

AGE REQUIREMENTS: Children applying for a scholarship must be entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2019. Recipients must be born during 2014 (January 1st, 2014 through December 31st, 2014) to be eligible for the scholarship.
